The View from Prague Castle

My wife and I visited Vienna and Prague last month. We spent ten days altogether. It was a wonderful trip. We walked around these two cities. The picture is the view of Prague from the restaurant in front of the Prague Castle. The church in the center is St. Nicholas. I will never forget this beautiful scenery.

家内と二人、この六月にウィーンとプラハを訪問しました。10日間の素晴らしい旅行でした。この二つの街を歩き回りました。この絵はプラハ城の前のレストランから見たプラハの街です。真ん中の教会はニコラス教会です。この美しい景色は忘れられません。

Japanese Doll

This is one of the two pictures which I drew in the class. This is a Japanese doll, which I have at home.

ベニスの絵と併せて描いた日本人形の絵です。これが最初のアクリル画となりました。

Street Corner of Venice

I visited Venice in 2013. While waiting in front of a restaurant, I found the street very pleasant and drew a sketch. This time, I drew this picture by using acrylic painting. The teacher, Ms. Miho Morita, taught the class of acrylic painting at the Kyoto University of Art and Design, and I painted two pictures in April and May. This picture is one of the two pictures. It was a fantastic class.

 2013年に家内とイタリア旅行をしました。そのときのスケッチを元に描いたアクリル画です。ベニスの街角のレストランでの食事を待っていたときに街の様子が面白いので描きました。

今回は京都造形大学でのアクリル画の講座で森田美穂先生の指導を受けて描きました。自由に描かせて頂ける大変に楽しい講座でした。

星のブランコ Stars' Swing in Hoshida Enchi (Park)

今日は大阪の東にある交野市の大阪府民の森「ほしだ園地」に行ってきました。1時間半ほど歩いて歩行者用の大きな吊り橋「星のブランコ」に到着。さっそく絵を描きました。新緑が美しく、素晴らしいシーズンになったものです。
I visited Hoshida Enchi in Katano City which is in the east of Osaka. After one and a half hour walk we arrived at the Stars' Swing, which is the large suspension bridge for pedestrians. The woods was beautifully decorated by new greens.

能登の風景 七尾城

能登旅行の帰りに時間があったので、七尾城跡に行ってきました。山頂に大きな石垣が残っており、杉の木立が静かにそびえています。思わずスケッチをしたくなり、タクシーと家内に待ってもらいながら、スケッチをしました。スケッチをしていると、笛の練習にやってきた方がおられ、日本の笛を聞きながらの優雅なスケッチとなりました。

能登の景色 見附島

３月１５日に能登の和倉温泉でマラソン大会があり、フルマラソンを走ってきました。その帰りに２泊ほど、和倉温泉に泊まり、能登半島を見てきました。

海の絵は能登の見附島です。別の名前を軍艦島と言うそうです。前から見ると軍艦のように見えるからだそうです。

観光バスの旅で時間が無かったのですが、雰囲気は出ました。

仙台の広瀬川、仙台花壇の風景

水曜日から東北大学に出張をし、日独６大学による学長会議（HeKKSaGOn）に参加してきました。ハイデルベルグ大学のアイテル学長や副学長さん、ゲルケ国際部長など、旧知の方々も多く、楽しみました。
毎朝、ランニングをして、広瀬川沿い、瑞鳳殿などを駆けました。今朝は絵の道具を持って行き、広瀬川の仙台花壇の景色をスケッチしました。ヤナギの新緑と桜の対比、川岸の剥き出しの崖の白さが印象的でした。

I visisted Tohoku University to participate in the six German Japanese university presidents meeting (HeKKSaGOn). It was a wonderful meeting where I could meet many of my old friends from Germany.
This morning I drew the picture of Hirose River in Sendai City. Cherry blossoms, green willow trees and the white cliff are very beautiful and impressive.
